Welcome to Game of Scones. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. About Us

Game of Scones is a registered home-based bakery producing handcrafted baked goods made to order.

We are registered with our local authority as a food business and operate in accordance with UK food hygiene legislation.

2. Placing an Order

Orders can be placed via our website, email, telephone or social media.

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to decline any order where necessary.

Please ensure all information provided is accurate, including collection dates, contact details and any special requests.

3. Payment

A deposit may be required to secure your order.

Unless otherwise agreed, full payment must be received before collection or delivery.

Payments can be made via bank transfer, card payment or other agreed payment methods.

Orders will not be released until payment has been received in full.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

As our products are handmade to order, cancellations are subject to the following:

• Orders cancelled more than 7 days before collection may receive a refund of any payment made, less any non-refundable deposit.

• Orders cancelled within 7 days of collection are generally non-refundable, as ingredients and preparation will already have been committed.

• Custom or personalised orders cannot usually be refunded unless the product is faulty or not as described.

• The consumer contracts regulations 14 day cancellation right, does not apply to perishable food. Or personalised, bespoke items.

If we are unable to fulfil your order due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be provided.

5. Collections

Customers are responsible for collecting orders at the agreed time.

Once products have been collected, responsibility for safe transportation, storage and handling transfers to the customer.

Please transport cakes on a flat, non-slip surface and avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or a warm vehicle.

6. Delivery

Where delivery is available, every effort will be made to deliver within the agreed time.

Local delivery area is within 20 miles of RH11.

We cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by traffic, weather or circumstances beyond our control.

Responsibility for the products transfers to the customer upon successful delivery.

7. Allergens

Our kitchen handles ingredients including, but not limited to:

• Wheat (Gluten)

• Milk

• Eggs

• Peanuts

• Tree Nuts

• Soya

• Sesame

Whilst every care is taken to avoid cross-contamination, all products are prepared in a home kitchen where allergens are present.

We cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens or traces of allergens.

Customers are responsible for informing us of any allergies or dietary requirements before placing an order.

8. Product Information

Every item is handcrafted, so slight variations in appearance, decoration, colour and finish are to be expected.

Photographs on our website and social media are examples only and may not exactly represent the finished product.

9. Celebration Cakes & Decorations

Where fresh flowers are supplied by the customer or a florist, Game of Scones cannot accept responsibility for their suitability for food use unless they have been specifically prepared for cake decoration.

Some fresh flowers are toxic and should not come into direct contact with food. Customers are responsible for ensuring florist-supplied flowers are food-safe.

Cake toppers, candles and other decorations supplied by the customer are used entirely at the customer's own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by third-party decorations or any issues relating to their safety or suitability.

Once a cake has been collected or delivered, any damage resulting from incorrect assembly, transportation or handling is the customer's responsibility.

10. Storage

Unless advised otherwise:

• Keep cakes cool and dry.

• Refrigerated cakes should be brought to room temperature before serving.

• Most baked goods are best enjoyed within 2–3 days of collection.

Specific storage instructions will be provided where appropriate.

11. Customer Satisfaction

We take enormous pride in every order we make.

If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us within 24 hours of collection or delivery.

Where appropriate, we may request photographs before offering a replacement or refund.

12. Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused after collection or delivery through incorrect transportation, storage or handling.

13. Intellectual Property

All photographs, branding, logos, recipes (where protected) and website content remain the property of Game of Scones and may not be reproduced without written permission.

14. Privacy

Any personal information collected when placing an order will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

The latest version will always be available on our website.
